Technical Reports

Strategic Treatment Planning Seminars (January 2009)
Evidence-based resources using TCU Mapping-Enhanced Counseling have been widely disseminated (without charge) via the IBR Website. Increasing numbers of treatment systems, however, are requesting advice for developing strategic applications of TCU assessments and interventions as part of an adaptive, stage-based services framework. This IBR technical report [PDF; 152 KB; 6 pages] highlights the “Strategic Treatment Planning” (RAP) seminar being offered for small groups of program planners and innovation leaders gathered in regional settings. It includes a hands-on and interactive review of how TCU resources “fit together” and can be implemented to meet customized program needs.

Strategic Treatment Planning in England (March 2009)
The document presents the planning for “Leadership Meetings for Applications of TCU-Based Resources” in the UK. The planning was developed for the U.S. Distinguished International Scientist Collaboration Award by Dwayne Simpson. This document is included here as an IBR technical report [PDF; 113 KB; 4 pages] and explains the background and planned activities for the award.

Final Report on 2009 US Distinguished International Scientist Collaborators Award (USDISCA; December 2009)
This IBR technical report [PDF; 217 KB; 17 pages] features the “Adaptation and Implementation of TCU Mapping-Enhanced Counseling and Assessment Resources in the United Kingdom.” A NIDA-funded International Scientist Award to Dwayne Simpson (and his primary collaborator, Dr. Ed Day, from the University of Birmingham, England) provided travel funds for visiting International Treatment Effectiveness Project (ITEP) and Birmingham Treatment Effectiveness Initiative (BTEI) implementation sites throughout the UK. This report summarizes progress made and challenges being faced by groups visited during September, October, and November 2009.
