Amani joined the IBR team in March 2023 as a Research Assistant on the LeSA study. Before joining the IBR, Amani worked in Research Compliance at Rice University and assisted in directing an Undergraduate Research Scholarship program at Sam Houston State University (SHSU).
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Baylor University and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at SHSU in 2021. Amani first gained research experience while working as an RA in Psychology labs at SHSU. She worked on a variety of trauma and substance abuse studies while completing her graduate degree.
