Explore Hands-On Research with SOAR
The IBR SOAR (Student Overview of Applied Research) Lab is a new IBR program developed by Jen Pankow and colleagues to provide opportunities for undergraduate students to experience applied research, coupled with interactive activities designed to enhance academic skills and create networking and mentoring opportunities with research-interested peers, graduate students, and IBR research scientists.
Looking for Graduate Opportunities with the IBR?
The IBR also provides advanced research training for Ph.D. students in partnership with TCU’s Department of Psychology.
SOAR Lab Tier Structures
All students are invited to attend SOAR Lab monthly meetings (Tier 1), which feature research presentations by scientists and graduate students and introduce lab members to applied research methods by featuring opportunities to conduct a community-based research project with peers (led by IBR Graduate Students). Tier 1 students also collaborate on poster presentations as part of the Student Research Symposium (SRS) each spring.
