Texas Christian University (TCU) Drug Screen II is self-administered and serves to quickly identify individuals with a history of heavy drug use or dependency (based on the DSM and the NIMH Diagnostic Interview Schedule). It is particularly useful and widely used as a tool in criminal justice settings for identifying offenders eligible for treatment services (see Knight, Simpson, & Hiller, 2002).
