IBR researcher Dr. Jennifer Becan is a co-author on a newly published article in Health & Justice that introduces SEAMLIS, a new conceptual and measurement framework for understanding site engagement in multisite implementation research.
The article, “Site engagement in implementation research: Introducing SEAMLIS as a conceptual and measurement framework,” highlights the importance of tracking organizational and participant involvement across projects in justice and health settings. The proposed SEAMLIS model provides a more comprehensive way to assess both the breadth of agency participation (e.g., trainings, meetings) and the duration of site engagement from project start to completion.
Drawing on lessons from multisite projects such as JJ-TRIALS, the authors outline recommendations for applying SEAMLIS in future implementation research, offering insights into how site engagement can be considered as an independent, dependent, or mediating variable.
