Mickaela joined the IBR team as a Part-Time Research Assistant in May 2024, focusing on qualitative research for the ACTION and JCOIN projects. She initially joined IBR in January 2024 as a Qualitative Researcher on the ACTION project after completing an internship with the IBR’s SOAR program, an undergraduate research initiative that provides hands-on field research experience. During her time in SOAR, Mickaela worked on and presented the project An Examination of Narcan Use and Distribution in Tarrant County. She also conducted research for the Hill Evolutionary Social Psychology Lab at TCU. Mickaela earned a BS in Psychology and a BA in Anthropology from TCU in May 2024.

Between 2024 and 2025, Mickaela plans to apply to graduate school to pursue studies in Clinical Forensic Psychology and Forensic Anthropology.
