Shatoya joined the IBR in March 2020 as a Public Health Research Associate. Shatoya transitioned from field-based mental health work, where she developed extensive knowledge in working with justice involved youth and their families. Shatoya is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her interest are working with justice involved youth and their families. Shatoya joins the IBR as the project coordinator for Preventing Opioid Use Among Justice-Involved Youth as They Transition to Adulthood: Leveraging Safe Adults (LeSA) and as the project coordinator for The Family Assessment, Motivation and Linkage (FAMLI) study.
