Ashley Gainey joined the IBR in October 2021 as the Client Coordinator for the JCOIN and the Project Coordinator for FAMLI. In addition, she serves as a Patient Navigator and Clinical Support on ACTION and is part of the BOP study. She transitioned from an addiction treatment center where she served as the Special Projects Coordinator for the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program. Also, at the addiction treatment center, she worked as both a Prevention Specialist and a Graduate Practicum Student for Counseling Psychology.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) supervised by Shirley J Kalling, LPC-S, and Certified in Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART). She has a passion for serving underserved and underrepresented communities and has experience in working across the continuum of care for substance use in Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery.
